Great atmosphere, excellent food and good drinks, including real ales, this is a top country pub restaurant. We sat in comfortable chairs and a settee, in front of an open fire, to have pre-lunch drinks and were then taken through to the restaurant by friendly, cheerful staff. Everything about this lovely old place is top quality except for the prices which are just above average. Absolutely no negative comments, the four of us had a really enjoyable lunch and will certainly be going back again. Judging from the number of other people who were enjoying their drinks and lunches, table reservations are probably essential.
