Beto and his staff at the Bahia Surf Camp are awesome! This was not my first trip to Brazil and it was not my first time surfing, but my trip to Salvador was the most incredible of all my experiences in Brazil.

With the most amazing location right on the beach, a friendly staff that cooks great food, and the best beaches all around, the Bahia Surf Camp gets two thumbs up. Beto is a real local (and a really nice guy) who knows all the best breaks and beaches around Salvador. The location is incredibly secure in one of the nicest gated communities just outside of Salvador only 20-30 minutes from the airport.

Whether you are a first time surfer, or someone like myself who has surfed before, you are in excellent hands at the Bahia Surf Camp. Whatever your goals, Beto and his staff will get you surfing better. They are incredible guys and really great surfers. If you are looking for something better you will not find it-- go ahead and experience it for yourself.

Really such as paradise...if u want to learn or improve your surfin skills and enjoy a desert beach (5km of private beach 'cause it is a very big residence and so it is really safe) with lots of palms, turtles, dolphins (u can see them from the line up) it's difficult to find a better place...
You can surf almost everyday. The water is really warm and clean and the instructors are so kind and helpful.
Even the position is excellent (30 min from salvador and 30 min from praia do forte).
I spent there only 2 days but It worths to stay there at least one week.
I would like to greet everybody works there.
It is a surf camp and not really a hotel so it is a little bit different than a normal pousada or a b&b.

I actually wanted to go to another surfcamp in Barra Grande, south of Salvador, but they called me a week before that they do not have any other bookings and would like to transfer me to the Bahia Surf Camp. First I was a bit sceptic what to expect.
Well, it was the best what could have happened!!!
Waking up the first morning there, I opened the window and could see down to the beach and the water and watch the surfers who where there already. I couldn't wait to get in the water too ;-)
As Sylvia said in her comment the place is absolutley great. Very good brasilien homemade food (especially dessert after lunch like home made ice creme), a really nice house (actually 2 guesthouses and one house where Beto lives with his family) with hammoks to chill. The place gives you the opportunity to be with people if you like or just relax on your own or you spent the hole day surfing.
If you decide to take surflessons, Beto takes you to severel beaches, depending on your knowledge and so you get to see different spots. Whenever you are at the house you can take a board an try waves at the beach by the house.
I did enjoy this place so much, that I decided to come back after my week in Barra Grande, and really, it felt like coming home!!!!!!!!

I love this place!

If you need a break from everyday stress, want to surf and relax with brazilian flavour you got to go there!

The camp is a comfortable cosy place right a nice sandy paradise beach less than one hour away from the beautiful city of Salvador de Bahia.

It is led by Beto, a very nice former Surf Pro, who has the right equipment for everybody and gets you to the best spots everyday. If you want you can get a package including your acommodation, surf lessons as well as a yoga class and marvellous brazilian meals.

Everybody at the camp is going to make you feel at home and you will make new friends for sure.

I´ll definitely go again!
