Its probably one of the oldest settlement town near Queens town where most structures have the Victorian look. Even today its an attraction for the Tourists as it offers varieties of shops, eateries and activities. We couldn't roam around much as it started raining and we had to get inside a Cafe for a hot Cup of Coffee. Its a pretty little place or you may call ita small town as well. As per our Guide, Arrow town is considered to be Shopper's Paradise.

We stayed in Arrowtown for 8 nights as an alternative to Queenstown and really enjoyed it. We had visited Arrowtown on prior trips to the South island but had never stayed there as we had always stayed in central qtown. It's a beautiful little town. The main strip Buckingham street looks like something out of the old gold rush/wild west kinda theme happening. I feel like the 3 main draw cards to visit this place is firstly the beautiful surrounds, secondly the food, oh my goodness some of the places to eat and drink are top notch, I'd like to mention slow cuts, provisions of Arrowtown cafe and unwind cafe. Definitely go to those places. Lastly the bike trails that you can do from atown. Riding along the trail to the bunjee bridge and beyond is time well spent and absolutely worth doing. I would definitely stay and visit this great town when I return to NZ

Arrowtown is a must visit if you are in Queenstown. Its just a 20 mins drive to the beautiful Victorian style small town. You can just take a walk around in the town and will find yourself mesmerized with the views it has to offer. There are some beautiful small cafes around the main street to sit and relax.

cute little town, nice boutiques specialising in woollens (if you need), great jade factory (if you like jade souvenirs) and lovely strip to walk down in general, great scenery around and picturesque drive to get there which is just a short drive from Queenstown

Busy and small town. Nice to spend money in souvenirs, food and jewellery. Known for its gold mining and Chinese gold miners. You can spend the day just walking around. The sorroundings and natural landscapes are very amazing.
