This is a lovely old town whose Main Street stores and restaurants buildings are as they were over a hundred years ago. It is a heritage site. There is adequate parking just off Main Street and they can accommodate camper vans.

We enjoyed the stroll along Main Street, my wife particularly liked the quilting store, which was excellent. It is a tourist trap but we enjoyed a half day here and would definitely go back.

Very cute little place to visit. Spend a night there, check the Chinese village, have a walk by the river - some scenes from the Lord of the Ring were filmed in the area.
There are some nice cafés, restaurants.
Really liked this place.
If you have a sweet tooth, your place to go: Remarkable Sweet Shop, their fudge selection is like heaven.
