My partner and I so enjoyed our stay at The Arrow Private Hotel. The rooms are brand new and incredibly luxurious! The decor is contemporary with polished concrete floors and floor to ceiling windows, framing the spectacular mountain scenery. On our arrival we sat in the garden in the strong summer sunshine, drinking amazing local wines and listening to the glorious birdsong and the rushing of the Arrow River below the garden.

The owner had thought of every little inclusion to make our stay special, from beautiful toiletries to Twinings tea and Sky television. The bath was particularly lovely! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Arrow Private Hotel for those wanting a very special and memorable holiday experience.

We just happened upon this lovely, small boutique hotel in downtown Arrowtown.Lucky us. It was wonderful. The rooms were very modern and large with comfortable amenities. Tim and his staff were warm and hospitable. We loved waking up and being able to look out our large suite window at the lush green mountains beyond. You can't go wrong. Great value for the money!

Our stay at the Arrow came after a very hectic few months of work. The rooms are built for complete privacy yet still maximise the mountain view and scenery.

The oversized bath is an absolute treat and the Rusk toiletries provided are the perfect, delicious addition.

We have family in Arrowtown who were all keen to come have a nosy as there has been much talk about town about the fab new hotel and it is meeting with approval from all who stay!

Tim, the owner has thought of everything from a full sized fridge (you know how great this is if you've ever tried to jam your champagne bottle into a minibar fridge), to whitebait fritter breakfasts (when in season) to a free internet and phone so you don't get whacked with any hidden charges.

We absolutely loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Not sure how the owners managed to outlast me at night and still have everything sorted well before I woke up. Brilliant.

Nothing was too much trouble even though were probably were! The owner was always a step ahead of all our requirements and was flexible to change and adjust when we were unorganized. Relationships with local businesses and attraction he had were invaluable. Can not say enough....

It was great to have you stay and we'd love you to come back soon.

We have some great photos of you outside the stone cottage on what looks like a warm summer evening. A big contrast to about three weeks ago when some children were throwing snow balls at the windows of the same cottage.

Let us know when you are coming through again and we can catch up on what you have been up to.

We were simply amazed at the level of perfection not only in the service but also the level of finish in the room. Everything from the bath tub that opens to the studio to the views, which blew us away. It really is a hidden gem, so much so that we will be spreading the word as far as possible.
The biggest suprise for us was the secret cupboard that awaits you in the morning....................you will have to stay there to experience.....
Thanks again Tim for making our night so special.

It was a pleasure to have you stay!. I hope we can provide some more 'surprises' for locals staying for birthdays, anniversary's or just fun weekends away from home or the children.

There is nothing like going back home recharged after a night or two away.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Arrow Private Hotel is an Arrowtown Boutique Hotel just five minutes walk from the centre of Arrowtown. With very contemporary design and styling, the Hotel recently won a prestigious architecture award and guests frequently comment on the attention to detail in the suites. In contrast, a historic stone cottage is the central meeting place at the Hotel. It is used as the reception area and as a house bar for evening refreshments and canapes. The roaring fire is very welcoming on a cold winters evening and many a tale has been told before guests walk into Arrowtown for their evening dinner. The Private Hotel is recognised one of the best Arrowtown B&B's. It operates more like a luxury lodge with each of the suites having its own private access and a hot cooked breakfast is delivered to each suite daily via a secret cupboard. With only 5 suites we are able to provide a very personal and private service . Adventures of all levels are not far away from the Hotel. Walking and cycling trails run right past the base of the Hotel which backs onto Coronet Peak Station. The Arrow Private Hotel is 20 minutes drive from the Coronet Peak ski field, from the Gibbston Wine region and from Queenstown. There are also 3 great golf courses within 5 minutes drive. ... more   less
