our tiny spattering of french was appreciated by these fabulous staff. They were caring and super-friendly and the whole atmosphere on our last sunny morning in Arrowtown just topped the whole visit. Lovely red-clad tables (dogs welcome), and lots of languages spoken. Crisp but smallish croissants - we had to get another to use up the generous cream cheese pottle and jam. Even though our French was appalling they did not laugh at us, but welcomed our small attempts - next to the table of French tourists even! The view of the trees and colours of the Arrow river lupins just added to the atmosphere.
