The cultural centre enables travellers to further understand the spiritual and emotional environment they are visiting. The architechure of the building alone is amazing!

We spent 3 days at Uluru/Yalara Caravan Park.
Whilst it is overated and the caravan part is full of red dirt the staff were helpful. The ammenaties were great abd so were many of the people that visitied.
One reminder for you all and that is that even though one is allowed to have animals in the caravan park, they are TABOO at the National Park.It will cost one $25:00 to enter the park,BUT they arent the same as at Kakadu, where we were allowed to take our dogs into the park as long as they stayed in the car, which they did........
Uluru is a fantastic place to visit if you are visiting there for the first time,BUT watch out for all the overseas visitors
The park dosent have many concrete slabs, the laundry is miles away from many of the spots and the place is full of RED dirt, but what does one expect.
There is a small shopping centre there,a supermarket,a post office and plenty of souvernier shops as well. When you make the turn off into the complex, cakll into the hotel first so as to get a map of the place and follow your nose past the police station ,the SES and emergency services and just pass these places is the entrance to the park.Fuel is around $2:27 CPL.The dump point is about 1 kilometer away and off the grounds,BUT you will get that information when you ask for it at the enquiry desk at the caravan park.

Enjoy your stay at Yalara/Uluru

I loved it here...could spend hours just wandering around, admiring the design of the centre, and the beautiful artworks on display

on a three day outback tour with Wayoutback eco 4x4 safari- we visited Ayers Rock & Kata Djuta . I highly recommend, if possible, to book a short addtional tour with one of the local aboriginal guides around Uluru for an in depth look into the significance of these sights. It is extreemly hot so carry water and use a hat and sunscreen.

There are presentations by some of the "original owners" of Uluru, by rangers, and by video. We found it to be good background prior to hiking to (not up) Uluru.
