“Nice place to relax....if not filled with tourists!”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

This s a great little spot to unwind at h end of long hot day. However it can get full of tourists and noisy youth who occasionally and unfortunately spoil the atmosphere by taking alcohol down there which is illegal. Don't worry th police do frequent checks. Closed for rainy season. But it's free and relaxing. Springs are a mild temperature bear in mind this is not a Hot spring more a warm spring so perfect for families with smaller children.

“Water was not even warm”
Reviewed December 12, 2013 via mobile

It's called a hot spring but the waters were pretty cool. Wear slippers or aqua boots into the water. There are some sharp rocks. Water is nice and clean. A steady flow of water flows down the stream. The water can be quite deep at certain areas so be careful. There are many fruit trees surrounding the area and hence you get to see lots of bats hanging on the trees and half eaten fruits in the water.
Overall, a good place to take a relaxing dip or swim where you're safe from the crocodiles, the smell of the bats or bat droppings is really strong when you approach the hot springs.

“Only 5 minutes from Katherine”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

We visited the hot springs after only being made aware of their existence through the browsing of this Trip Advisor website. They are really close to Katherine's town centre.. I mean super close, you can drive there within a maximum of 5 minutes. What awaits you is a lovely little oasis creek with easy access and a boardwalk which provides for great photos and vantage points. The water is remarkably clear and it's a great way to cool down in the outback heat. While they are called "hot" springs, we did not feel as they were hotter than a regular swimming pool would be in the area, but still a great place to visit. Just don't expect a steaming water spa or jacuzzi. Do yourself a favour while in Katherine and visit this attraction! :)
