“A fun night - entertaining host passionate about food”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

Marksie makes the night. He is very interesting and entertaining and takes the time to chat with his guests.

He is very passionate about his food and explains all the items on offer. It's an opportunity to try some different meat like croc, camel and roo if you are keen. Fancy damper too.

He is also very service-oriented - I left an item behind and he generously delivered it to our motel the next day.

As 2A & 1C, we got a family ticket which might be good value for 2A & up to 4C but $150 was a significant amount for dinner which did not include any alcoholic beverages or juice/soft drink (we had non-alcoholic home-made cordial / punch and water). Other diners BYO alcohol but I had missed this detail so we went without,

He doesn't actually prepare or cook in front of you - it is mostly prepared although he does have a fire and his tools/cookware on display.

My son loved the billy tea demonstration and competition with the other young boy attending.

All in all - a good night enjoyed by my family.

“Great dinner and a great show”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

When you arrive you are seated at long tables under the NT stars. A great start to what turned out to be a fantastic evening. Great food and plenty of it, great stories and an engaging host. Would do this again and would recommend this attraction.

“Great experience”
Reviewed May 27, 2014 via mobile

If you want a good night out and experience some good Bush ticket this is the place to go! Sitting under the stars you will enjoy a wonderful meal cooked in camp ovens. Marksie uses natural bush herbs and spices which he sources himself. There are wallabies near by watching all the time looking for a scrap of food. The entire family will enjoy with fun things for the kids as well.

“On the backdoorstep”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

Did a wonderful evening here with a bunch of ladies last year. Just down the road, but had never been. A wonderful evening, full of awesome atmosphere, amazing bush tucker and Marksie himself adding to the evening with his humorous little tales. A real pleasant evening under the stars. Definitely recommend.

“Marksie's yarns- hard to tell - truth or yarn”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Marksie's camp tucker night was quite a treat with slow cooked crocodile bush minted lamb and bush tomatoes with potatoes all cooked to perfection over his bush camp fire with wallaby's (all named "Barry") looking on. A great evening.
