We visited Kakadu National Park, Litchfield and Mary River on this tour, with 9 other people and a guide, who was driver and cook as well. The truck used was air conditioned and comfortable, with plenty of storage space for luggage and food. Each night we slept in real beds in small tents, in camp sites where there were plenty of showers and hot water, and swimming pool. We visited swimming holes which were very varied. Magic falls were great, as we had a short hike to the pools, but we climbed up above the water fall, and swam in small but deep holes which formed canyons to swim through. Magical. We visited Ubirr, where there were many examples of rock art. Tom, our guide was very knowledgeable and we gained some understanding of Aboriginal art. We also climbed to the top of the escarpment in Kakadu, and it was beautiful to see the flood plains below. The river cruise at Yellow Waters was outstanding to see wildlife at its best.

We went on the second last trip to Jim Jim falls and twin falls for this season as the temperatures are rising and the rain will come soon and make it unaccessible.
The day was really really hot - i think it reached 43 degrees when we went to Jim Jim falls. Also at the end of the dry season there is only a small trickle - so no actual waterfalls, but the gorges were equally impressive and will totally recommend going! However it is definitely not for older people - wouldn’t risk my health if i was over 50, we are in our late 20s and struggled with the walk in the heat even though it was only a kilometre or two at each gorge.
The swim in Jim Jim falls was an amazing end to the hike - absolutely amazing and definitely worth the trip - no picture can do the justice - as it is so vast, and the water was excellent temperature for swimming and jumping off rocks and crystal clear.
Our tour guide - Connor, was really knowledgeable and helpful and kept with everyone’s pace and made sure everyone is ok and showed us the best spots to take a picture or swim.

We undertook this Top End Adventure with Intrepid Holidays. We were met at the foyer of Hilton Darwin by Ringer. Little did we know then that this wonderful young man would also become an unforgettable friend. He was warm. He was welcoming, highly profession and yet honestly and so pleasingly, casual. Ringer is a fine Manager, a great Administrator, a careful driver and a leader . There is an undeniably important quality of leadership, namely, to be a visionary. Ringer was just that. He led us all the way and to places which were so pleasing and wonderful during the five unforgettable days. A born entertainer, a great respecter of our Indigenous people, our evenings by the fireside were typically happy gatherings where we sang, heard the didgeridoo being played and told stories thus uniting and entertaining the whole group. Ringer gathered the group together and we were a happy, friendly mob of people who enjoyed the company of one another. All this was possible because Ringer exuded with high morale which pervaded the whole group. When I, on one day, spoke to him about a young lass in our group and told him that she was unwinding herself and becoming friendly and joining in the fun, Ringer coundn’t have been happier. Intrepid look after this youg man. You have, undeniably a great ambassador for your Company. Those of you who are old but young at heart pay attention. Age is in the mind and it does not matter. Maria and I are 73 and 75 years old. Yet, we kept pace with the rest of the group under the encouragement and constant vigilance of Ringer. Some of the Billabongs we reached were over boulders and the climb, in certain places, was demanding and yet, we made it to enjoy the salubrious waters and peace of the surroundings. We say this especially because a a certain Company refused to take us because of our age!!!

This a super value tour! All day and it's a ball of fun with locals who really know how it all goes. I have nothing but praise for Kakadu Tourism as they made a mess up of our booking and with enormous effort on their part they pulled it off and we had a super awesome day! Highly recommend this business

Make sure you check online before you go to see what attractions are open or closed. We missed Jim Jim Falls because they were burning off and croc counting. Disappointed. It was not until we were right inside the park (100!kms) and had paid for our Park Pass that we were given a list of the areas that were closed. Enjoyed Ubirr with some nice walks. Overall felt a bit let down.
