“Great to visit if nearby”
Reviewed May 5, 2014 via mobile

We visited here on our way back to the Gagudju Lodge Cooinda as it's only 1km away. It was free of charge and although I wasn't too keen on going there I found it to be really interesting and I'm glad I went. I even learnt a few things myself. Only downfall was that the lady who came to lock up was quite rude when she asked us to leave, even though we were at the end of the display anyway. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Dear Ladybug 0208

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review, it is always appreciated when we receive feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed the cultural centre and found it interesting, I think it is a wonderful part of the Kakadu National Park's attractions, I have taken note of the way you were asked to vacate the centre at the end of the day, it has been discussed with all Warradjan staff.

On behalf of the management & staff we hope to see you at Cooinda, Yellow Waters & Warradjan in the not too distant future.

Regards
Vanessa Thomson

“A must for anyone visiting the top end”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Never before have I read every signboard in a museum but I did in the cultural centre. Through visual displays the centre tells the stories of the indigenous of the area in their own words.

“Worthwhile and informative”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

We (2 adult and 2 young kids) all enjoyed wandering through the display and learning so much about the region and its people. Definitely recommend spending an hour here as part of your Kakadu experience.

“Educational and Cultural Must See”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We spent some time at this centre, learning about the local wildlife and Aboriginal culture. There was a great gift shop with plenty or genuine Aboriginal art works for sale. When you buy here, you're getting the real thing.

Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback about Warradjan Cultural Centre!

I am really pleased to hear you found your visit to be authentic and informative, and you are correct - the artwork here is the real deal!

Did you do any Yellow Water Cruises whilst you were in the area? Our tour guides do include cultural commentary in all of our cruises, a great way to supplement the knowledge you picked up at the Cultural Centre!

Thanks again for your feedback!

“Interesting, informative and enjoyable - go there”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

A visit to Warradjan Cultural Centre was a really enjoyable experience and a great way to learn about the region and its people past and present. As we continued our Kakadu holiday we found ourselves remembering information from the wonderful displays at Warradjan so we were much better informed and saw many places in a new light. The Centre is extremely well presented and run. It's FREE, cool - as in air conditioned - and the shop is good too. Make time to go there.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the Warradjan Cultural Centre!

I am pleased to hear you had an enjoyable and memorable experience at the centre. It is a great place to get a great insight into the local indigenous culture. It is also a great place to see locally handmade weaving, paintings and much more!

Did you experience any of the rock art sites whilst you were in Kakadu? Nourlangie and Ubirr have great walks surrounding the area, a great way to spend the day!

Thanks again for your review, and safe travelling in the future!
