Thanks for your feedback!

Warradjan Cultural Centre is certainly a very informative and interesting place to gain insight into the rich cultural history of Kakadu and this area in particular.

Did you get the opportunity to do a Yellow Water Cruise whilst you were in the area? There is plenty of information provided on these cruises, including historical commentary, wildlife information and further information about the local indigenous culture.

Thank you again for your review, and we hope to welcome you back to Kakadu in the future!

“eye opening and educational”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

it was so interesting and the staff in the gift shop were lovely. It gives you the other perspective on history that is not taught in schools about aboriginals

Thank you for your comments about your visit to Warradjan Cultural Centre.

It is definitely a great starting place to getting an insight into the rich cultural history of the traditional owners of this area.

The gift shop features art and weaving made by the local people, which make the perfect souvenir or gift to bring home!

“Insight into Aboriginal culture”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

You need some background information to see the world through aboriginal eyes and this centre provides it. Although seemingly primitive, Aboriginal society is very complicated with many social rules which are completely alien to us. In some ways, they live in a different world even a different planet.

“Interesting and informative”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

The centre is educational and informative and the displays very well laid out. Much more worthwhile visiting than the Kakadu Visitors Centre, which is not that interesting at all. Culture and history of the indigenous people well presented. It would, however, have been enjoyable to have some more direct interaction with the traditional owners. Seeing well presented displays and detailed written explanation is certainly worthwhile, but nothing beats the face to face interaction of someone explaining his or her culture to you...! We rather get the feeling that the traditional owners have no particular desire to interact with curious tourists - suppose this is understandable....

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on the Warradjan Cultural Centre.

Warradjan is certainly a very interesting and informative place, and we are very glad you got to experience a small part of the culture that makes Kakadu such a fantastic place! The traditional owners have been very involved in the design of the centre, from displays to the layout.

Did you have a chance to go on a Yellow Water Cruise while you were in the area?

Thank you again for your review.
