Owner description: Totally unique 7 hour interactive combination of Aboriginal Culture and Wildlife Safari, with an award-winning real bush aboriginal guide. Hunt, gather, cook & eat bush foods, learn about traditional medicines and hear authentic stories. At sunset, enjoy a traditional bush food campfire cook-up, aboriginal-style. We have exclusive access to the amazing Goose Camp floodplain. This is a small, local business that directly benefits local Kakadu aboriginal people. It's authentic, non-commercialised and eye-opening.

What an amazing day with Rachael and Patsy, it was truly inspiring to witness how people live off the land in the Outback. Rachael and Patsy have a wonderful relationship and they both made us feel very relaxed and motivated to try new things, such as green ants used as a pain killer. Both of our guides had a vast array of knowledge and passion for their natural surroundings. Pasty, still living as an aboriginal of the land, especially so. It was wonderful listening to stories of Patsy's childhood and to learn more about the Aboriginal culture and traditions. The day was drawn to an end when we all shared a meal together under the sunset. This was mostly consisting of items we had gathered together through the day, with the addition of a goose that Patsy brought along, all cooked using traditional methods. We had a fantastic time and would strongly advise it for anyone of any age.

Our family enjoyed Rachel and Patsy's hands on educational tour of Kakadu, and the insights into Aborginal traditional living and values gave us more understanding that we could ever have gleaned from reading and visiting information centres. We all felt moved by the stories and characters we heard about. Every family should do this tour, and bring Kakadu to life in their hearts and minds.

This was a truly wonderful experience. Rachael and Patsy gave us a wonderful, interesting and entertaining introduction to aboriginal culture. Our 16 year old was fascinated and happily got stuck in to every task on offer. The meal we all helped to cook in the evening was delicious and the place where we ate it was magical: we watched the sun set over the remote lake while a myriad of birds gradually settled down in the dying light.

What a wonderful day with our guide, Rachel and our Indigenous hosts Patsy and Jennifer. A true Territory and Kakadu experience. We travelled with our 7, 6 and 3 year old children. We all enjoyed the day immensely. Collecting bush tucker, enjoying Rachel's informative commentary and Patsy's stories of growing up in the bush. To finish of a spectacular sunset at one of the most beautiful flood plains in Kakadu. Thanks again Animal Tracks.....we will be back!!

This was a superb effort to introduce us to the world of Aboriginal culture and traditional life. Patsy, their Aboriginal guide shows amazing grace and patience as she takes you through a day of searching for food, healing with traditional medicines, cooking with paperbark and herbs, and generally sharing her amazing knowledge of the nature around. At the end of the day all the food we collected was cooked over the fire while the sun set over the river in spectacular fashion. We have travelled the outback now for 8 weeks and this trip was certainly one of the highlights. Thanks Rachel and Patsy for teaching us so much!
