The bakery is open at 6.30 7 days a week. It was lovely to take an early morning stroll and purchase excellent fresh rolls, buns and coffee. The baker is a friendly guy and offers excellent service.

We stayed near this baker and each morning went there for our breakfast, bacon and egg rolls and sandwiches for our days trekking. We even had some of their salads for dinner. Good fresh food and certainly a surprise in such a location.

having missed breakfast at the hotel i was staying - i called in here and bought a pie around mid morning. it was dry - and almost looked as if it was from the day before ..
the coffee was ok - although it had a sweetness to it (without added sugar) that may mean something other than fresh ingredients

Having read the reviews for Jabiru Bakery and heard my work colleagues say how good the bakery is, I thought just for a change we'd buy lunch stuff from the bakery instead of the usual picnic from home on our Kakadu trip. There was a short queue but the staff are so quick and efficient. Lots of choices - three of us had savoury quiches and enjoyed them - and one of us had the prepacked caesar salad which she found to be fresh and tasty. We didn;t realise there were lost of salad ingredients on offer and could have had a freshly made up salad selection but we'll know next time. From the number of customers that came and went during the time we ate our lunch under the shade cloth in the little garden, it's obvious that both visitors and locals alike love this bakery. We'll do this lunch option again. The cakes looked good too but we didn;t indulge this time.

this is a first rate country bakery, of the type found elsewhere in Australia, but unseen in the NT. Appears to be run by a fantastic German baker and always has great breads, cakes, pies/pasties and sandwiches. mmmmm!
