“Slice of paradise”
Reviewed December 18, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I spent 4 days here and absoultely loved it! It is surrounded by crystal clear, blue water, the facilities are great, snorkel gear was ideal to be able to use, the owner is such a nice guy, and the eco huts are sooo cool! The location of this place, the weather, and the relaxed atmosphere made for a perfect, peaceful holiday! I would 100% recommend!

“A LITTLE PIECE OF PARADISE”

We spent one month with my boyfriend and it was one of the most beautiful place that we had the pleasure to visit. Everything was so perfect! We met a lot of people there, amazing people, and every day was different. It's the perfect place to disconnect. If you love the beach like I do, you will love it! And there is no better thing that to sleep under the stars.

You have to know that is not a 5 star hotel of course, you are in a small village on an island! You have all that you will need. You will have a fridge and a little kitchen where you can cook for all and share with the others guests funny moments that you will remember. There is village, 40 min walking, (10min by car, even less) where you can find a very good place to eat (excellents pizzas). We need more places like this, where people are friendly and where you need to be open mind.

BUT You will be in love with this paradise, and you will never want to leave it.

“Secret Paradise - my best holiday ever”
Reviewed December 1, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I am now in the easternmost part of the most trendy jet-set island of Europe, Hvar, in where there's such a primitive living as stone age life contradictory to ten millions worth yachts in one hour driving distance, a place where I've felt the meaning of word 'peace' first time that deeply, and a place where it's not easy to find another example of such a communal life.
This is a nature camping area, in one of the most secluded bays of Adriatic in where there's not any electricity, no wi-fi, no tap water, instead there's a natural lighting provided by moon, stars and sea planctons, cooking and sharing all together with people whom you did not know before, also where you need to use rain water to shower and put buckets underneath not to waste even it...
Contradictory to the fake reality of summer places designed for jet-set but filled with normal people like us to make it look crowded, all the unnecessary things are minimalised that we normally think as crucial. There's no restaurant, no store, even no currency here. It's a magical place which flies the needlessness of hot water, electricity and clean towels to the face of man.
There are no waiters running after you, no cleaners to change your bed sheets, no cooks to prepare your food. You should even consume your bread carefully, or maybe just to satisfy your hunger, because the nearest store is in one hour driving distance. But there's a good news; fresh octopus just caught from crystal blue sea is free! Yeap, you did not mishear, the octopus of which we pay hundreds pounds for a 3 cm leg...
Holiday is always good, however what I felt here is, when we are trying to run away from a confined life, we are putting ourselves in another boundaries. I've experienced this, loved and recommend it.
Final note: My 3% battery will die soon and I will start watching shooting stars...

“The better world”
Reviewed September 28, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

These few days spent at Cast Away for a loooong time remain in my memories... That amazing place and people staying there make you move into another, better world, away from a noise of city life and civilisation.

“Love it and its still getting better. ”
Reviewed September 27, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

I had a wonderfully stay at cast away. So beautiful and you can really come to rest and enjoy the nature. Its nice to have the whole beach for yourself if you are early up in the morning. And the water is so calm you can see everything. Great to snorkel. But you should bring something against the mosquitoes. All do cast away did there best with nets at the accommodation the mini mosquito still come in. There are 2 mm something, but can drive you crazy at night. And all do the host is very friendly.. he should give some more information. Water on the camping is rain water so for drinking buy it before you are at the camping.. or cook it. And also buy other groceries. No store in miles. Further there is no strong light. Maybe bring one. Expecially if you like to read at night. Or like to kill the mosquitoes with a electric raket. And the stones on the path are very sharp. I had to find out the hard way in the dark. So some sneakers could come in handy. At the time of my stay there was only 1 fridge for to many people.. there should be at least 3 for the 20 geasts who could stay. But they are probably on it. I hope ...Ohw and the weather is wonderfull but still sometimes it could get cold and moisty at night. It would be great if they would have some (extra) blankets in the future.. so for now bring one or 2. And a coffie purcalizer if you like coffee. Almost forgot if you like to stay in contact with the outher world bring a extra power bank or solar charger and your own Internet. There is electricity ... but only on certain times. You can miss it if you are doing a trip but still can charge the power bank. And everyone is nice so totally save to leave your stuff. But you also get a locker. Tip! Use it as a closed than you have more space. Ok that's it.
So yeah come prepared and enjoy your stay for the Robbinson experience.

Thank you for the nice words. We're happy to hear you unwinded and came to peace here. We also want to apologize not having sent the descriptive mail we sent to every of our guests with all necessary info about Cast Away or to share the link where you can find all this info online. The reason was that we had the pleasure to welcome you here a couple of years ago and we wrongly assumed you already knew what to expect here. Sorry about that...

“Back to basics; great community! ”
Reviewed September 26, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We love Cast Away.
We were lucky enough to be surrounded by great people from all over the world. The setting is beautiful and relaxed and the huts are comfortable, warm and homely (with a good sleeping bag).
A highlight was the dinners. We would cook individually and share, and the best night was when we clubbed together and two of us cooked for the group. Great food, great drinks and great conversation.
There were loads of extras available that we didn't know about: paddle boards, snorkels, flippers, a decent stove, individual food storage, and lockers for valuables.
Any improvements: fridge space was limited, but it is an eco-campsite so maybe that's why.
If you want to mix with people, make new friends and enjoy the simple things then it's the perfect place for you. If you want to be alone the entire time and like your creature comforts, look elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at this place. This place is so beautiful, quiet and lovely. This is best place to relax, enjoy the sea and see this nice and sunny island. There is a beautiful and quiet beach so you can perfectly enjoy the amazing clear sea.
The host is very helpful, friendly and he gives awesome wind-surfing lessons :D
I would definitely recommend this place!
Thanks Didier for the lovely stay :)
