I just got back from my 7 night stay at the Riu Guanacaste. It was the best 8 days ever. One of my favorite vacations I've ever taken! The food was decent. I don't recommended the Chinese restaurant cause they have very little variety. The Italian restaurant was so good!!! The buffet was good with lots of variety! I went to the steakhouse one night and their special was filet mignion it was good! The entertainment staff are so friendly and they put on a good show every night! The staff go out of their way their way to help you with anything you need and the check in and check out process was fast and easy. The beach is black sand so its not the prettiest but the ocean is warm and there's a ton of fish swimming between you. Bat rays are also in the ocean so it's pretty cool. The hotel had howler monkeys we saw a couple times and lots of iguana's. I highly recommend bringing lots of off cause the mosquitoes are everywhere. The hotel is super clean and the rooms were good! There is very little downside to this hotel. I enjoyed my time here and will come back soon!! Pura Vida!
