“Good on you...”
Reviewed April 29, 2014 via mobile

I visited this cafe in December and gave it a poor review. I was contacted shortly after, provided a voucher and asked to give them a second chance. I really appreciated this. The second visit was in April - the cafe provided a very pleasant morning tea. The staff were just lovely, the food was tasty and served in a timely manner, with good staff follow up...and the scones were delicious. I would like to think my first visit was far from their reality...and I think it was. Well worth a visit. Thanks team

“RECOMMEND”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Lovely, friendly place to visit- good food choice from both menu & cabinet. Can sit inside or outside which is lovely on a nice day! Have been here a couple of times- so far, a look forward to returning! Licenced, so can have a wine with your meal if you wish! Varied menu, from full meal, to sandwich, and child friendly, with playarea/sandpit available outside. Overlooks a golf practice ranage with wide open spaces. Shop attached also for that gift, special thing you have been searching for!

“Larder dishes it up”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

The larder is a good midway meeting point for those coming from both Napier and Hastings. They sell all manner of foodie playthings and I had fun buying Xmas prezzies for family overseas. The food is good and generous - my only gripe would be that it would be good if they could do free range eggs (I refuse to eat battery for breakfast) - even as an additional cost option - it just seems like the sort of cafe that should! I have had the macadamia caramel choc brittle that is very delish and the mushrooms - which were also nice - good range of beer and wine and the barista seems to know what she is doing!
