Country dining in New Zealand. A little drive for us, but as stated earlier, well worth the effort. Our hats off to Kent and staff for making our mum in laws birthday lunch something extra special.
Taking it to a new level in this part of the world is TEN TWENTY FOUR. BEST wine list we've seen, bar none. And well priced. EXCELLENT value to quality ratio. Good vintages from great producers, both local and round New Zealand. We plumped for a Martinborough Pinot Noir as it dovetailed nicely with the range of foods our threesome ordered.
All dishes were exceptional in quality and presentation. Quantity was generous. Service friendly and attentive. Being a warm afternoon, staff was kind enough to place the mobile umbrellas nearby for some shade.
This experience raises the bar for fine dining in Hastings / Napier. Dining al fresco in the lovely courtyard was a joy.
Our highest recommendations and looking forward to a quick return.
