“Cute Piece of History”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

A short stroll from the wharf, even in blustery conditions, we came across this in the back street. Wow you get a sense of the history of this little village through a stroll through this grounds and reading the headstones - gorgeous little grounds and a quaint little church with the white picket fence. Well worth a stroll through whilst on Russell.

“Great sense of history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

The old church is not grand, but is steeped in history, and the graveyard is memorable. The church is only a very short walk from the harbour and it is definitely worth the effort. We were lucky to have it almost to ourselves, so the atmosphere was wonderful.

A beautiful little church with so much history in the cemetery. Gives you a glimpse into the past. Kids love the bullet hole in the wall.

“Lots of history and love here.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

Without a formal tour, we toured the church ourselves. There are handmade cross stitch pillows on every seat! Books explain some of Russell's history, and the headstones are revealing too. We wondered why so many people of all genders and ages died in certain years, for instance. This beautiful old church has stories to tell. Well worth the hour we spent there!
