I took my partner here for her birthday, spending three nights in September. Everything was as delightful as previous reviews had us to expect. The room is superbly fitted out, the bathroom sparkling, and the shared dining room/lounge very comfortable. Yes, it's a steep'ish walk up from town, but rewarded with great views. Our hosts were charming and accommodated every request, including having lovely flowers in the room before we arrived. My partner was delighted!

Room Tip: The last room, at the far end of the building has the best balconey / view.

Me and my husband spent our first wedding anniversary at Bellrock Lodge and were absolutely thrilled with our choice. As it had been an extremely stressful and difficult 6 months for us both, we were looking for accommodation in a location where we could escape all our worries, but also somewhere where there were enough things to do to prevent us getting bored. After reading all the great reviews of Bellrock Lodge, we chose Bellrock Lodge as it appeared to tick all our boxes. To our astonishment, Bellrock lodge actually exceeded our expectations! Our room was just gorgeous and had the most stunning views across the bay. My husband was also extremely impressed that the chocolates and biscuits kept reappearing each day in our room!. As others have already said, what really made Bellrock stand out was the amazing hospitality shown to us by Peter and Lorraine. They were incredibly generous and engaging and we really enjoyed chatting to them and to the other guests during our time there. Breakfast was amazing, and I am still dreaming about Lorraine's kiwifruit jam . We left Bellrock Lodge relaxed and refreshed and would recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in a gorgeous part of the world and spend some time with some great people. Olivia & Luke

Lorraine and Peter should be running a training school for B&B operators. But it would be a tragedy to lose them from this wonderful establishment. They claim to be first timers in hospitality, but that's difficult to believe when they set a standard that few can hope to match.
The building has been purposely designed which is a great head start, but the quality of the construction and the clever design sets this apart.
We didn't sample the breakfasts that others have praised (silly us). But we did experience their hospitality with predinner drinks and we spent a very pleasant hour or two with our fellow residents and our hosts.
The property is impeccably presented with an intense attention to detail. Although 4 years old it looks as if it was opened yesterday. We could recommend this place more highly. And we will return.

Room Tip: All rooms have a wonderful sea view

Bellrock Lodge exceeded our expectations by having all angles covered.
Our room was very comfortable having, TV, DVD & iPod facilities.
The view from our room overlooking the bay to Pahia was spectacular & soothing.
Breakfast was to die for along with Lorraine & Peter's hospitality.

Room Tip: All 4 rooms are excellent positioned to take advantage of the same view.

We were two couples travelling together and we stayed 3 nights at Bellrock Lodge. Brian and Lorraine made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful. Our accommodation was very spacious with lovely views over Russell towards Paihia. We would certainly recommend this lodge.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Bellrock Lodge for 4 glorious days. The accommodation is extremely quiet, comfortable and convenient, with a very spacious and well appointed suite. The whole building has been designed to take advantage of the view from high up on the hill overlooking the bay. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful - Lorraine does a marvelous job of taking care of her "family". What really made our stay most pleasurable were the hosts, Peter and Lorraine. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Beyond this, they are also sociable and interesting hosts who clearly enjoy their work/business. We don't hesitate to recommend Bellrock to our friends and family and would urge anyone visiting the Bay of Islands to check this wonderful accommodation out. Ole and Louise, Perth Australia
