We were waited on hand and foot. The most lovely, hospitable, generous and caring people I have met. Beautiful room with a very comfortable bed, exceptional ensuite, and chocolates beside the bed. One highlight was the delicious breakfast that was served up each day. Kees makes the best dutch blueberry pancakes you will ever taste. This B&B is truely the ultimate experience you will ever experience!!!! Col and Kaz

We stayed 2 nights in this B&B and enjoyed every minute of it. Kees and Robyn did everything they could to make us feel at home and gave us lots of tips of things to do in and outside Nelson. One should really try Kees's pancakes with berries, they are to die for. We had a wonderful stay at their beautiful B&B! The room was lovely decorated, huge bathroom with everything you need.
The B&B is easy to find in Nelson, is located at the SHW, which is a busy road, so getting in and out might take some patience...

Thank you for the great review! We always strive to do our very best for the lovely people who stay with us.
Just a note about entering or exiting our property across SH6 - we are only 50 metres from a safe turn around north and south and so much safer to go 50 metres up or down the road where you can safely turn and come back - no waiting, no danger and no patience required!

Robyn and Kees were the perfect hosts and made our stay so warm and welcoming. From the pot of tea and cake on arrival to showing us the accomodation in their deceptively spacious home and the excellent breakfast on the patio in the morning. So conveniently near the airport yet a short drive from town and on to lovely towns going up to Abel Tasman. Nothing was too much trouble. We'll be back!

The location, accommodation, hospitality & facilities were excellent. Robyn & Kees couldn't do enough for their guests, they went that extra yard to make our 5 day holiday one to remember. Breakfasts were excellent both in variety & quality. So were the afternoon teas.
Suffice to say I would definitely stay there again should we be in the area and would also have no hesitation recommending Ambleside to friends and relations.
Thanks Robyn & Kees, you were great.

Robyn and Kees are the most welcoming and friendly couple we have come across running a bed and breakfast establishment. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. We were delighted to be offered afternoon tea and delicious baking when we arrived back after an outing. Extensive and very tasty breakfast menu served outside on a sunny Nelson morning is a real treat!

During our trip around New Zealand, my wife and I decided to stay at Bed and Breakfasts, to meet some of the locals and experience New Zealand’s famous country hospitality. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice of Ambleside in Nelson. This purpose built home is so well laid out and furnished, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Robyn and Kees couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing a glass of wine and plate of cheeses and nibbles with them in the evening, after they realised we had missed dinner after an exhausting day of walking in Able Tasman National Park. Breakfast was supurb and we would certainly recommend this perfectly situated B & B.

Robyn and Kees were very welcoming and helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of the breakfast!!! Just a pity we were staying only the one night.

Thank you for the great comments. We would just like to say that this couple stayed in our smallest guest room. It is more suitable for a single person, although it does have a queen bed - the ladies love this room!
Our three other guest rooms are all much bigger.
