Three of us went for dinner at Verdict and found it enjoyable, but without a 'wow' factor.
Entrees were alehouse loaf with garlic butter, and 'special' wedges (with bacon, cheese & chilli sauce)
Bread was a good hefty size, but wedges were slightly too crispy and overpriced.
Mains were open pork sandwich, ribeye steak with portabello mushrooms, and the Verdict burger.
Comments on the pork were too much (tangy) sauce, but otherwise quite nice.
The steak was slightly disappointing, although a good size & cooked nicely (medium).
Verdict burger was very substantial (two patties), and although I had it without egg, I still couldn't finish it. Very substantial portion of fries with the pork and the burger.
Service was simply ok, when cutlery was dropped, replacements took quite a long time, but the waiter was friendly and accommodating with fetching salt (why wasn't it on the table in the first place?) and another glass of wine.
All in all, reasonably priced, and extremely good portion size, but nothing outstanding.
