Description: Multiple Winner of Best Cafe in Nelson. Bright, busy cafe in an historic building in central Nelson. Strong following of loyal locals but plenty to entice visitors as well. The menu changes seasonally and focuses on fresh, natural flavours that build on a number of ethnic cuisine styles. Our breakfasts have a large fan base with favourites like the Bacon & Eggs and our Pancakes staying on the menu year after year. Lunch includes fresh Salad Bowls, tasty Chicken Satay and the ever popular Pad Thai. There's plenty of fresh baking each day, a healthy kids menu and our coffee is excellent. There are lots of options for wheat, gluten & dairy sensitive people and vegetarians as well.

Went on a busy Friday morning during the summer, got the last table outside. I think this may have contributed to the slow service, however staff were nice enough. Took a while (at least 15 minutes) for the waiters to bring water and to take drinks orders. Food was relatively quick in comparison to come out. Hearty portions. Had the mushrooms with thyme which was really good. Bacon was supposed to be rindless, but there was definitely a lot of rind there. Coffee was average, nothing to rave about too much. Tasty meal though! 3 people plus coffees came to $75 which was a bit more than I was expecting to pay from a small city cafe.

Though we enjoyed the good quality food and coffee in Morrison, the service was just poor and slow. It took very long to get the food, and the stuff from the previous guests was not cleared away. This place needs more and better staff!

A cozy, delicious spot in the downtown shopping area of Nelson NZ. Great food, great service, with a smile. Try the orange pancakes; they are fabulous!
Inside and outside dining. Very reasonable. Good place to spend some time with friends and family!
