I stay at the palazzo every month for work. It’s a fantastic place to stay super comfy beds, tidy rooms, great facilities, and a very short walk to town. I’ve stayed at a few places in Nelson over the past few years and I can honestly say there’s nowhere else I’d stay now.

The rooms are large and really beautifully appointed. Spotlessly clean. There was nothing that I found wanting in this accommodation. If we were staying in Nelson again, I would not even think about staying anywhere else.

I travel to Nelson for work about once a month, and I've stayed at Palazzo numerous times. The Palazzo, by a wide margin, is my favourite motel. In difference to many other people running motels, the hosts at Palazzo are just incredibly good at what they do. It's not just the accomplished, friendly manner in which they look after their guests; their attention to detail shows when you get to your room and find that every item has been thoughtfully selected and placed. The rooms are well-appointed and neatly furnished. It's modern but in a cozy, welcoming way. You can tell the hosts are making a serious effort to stay on top of the maintenance and do not allow the place to start looking dated, a fate that many other motels suffer. The bathrooms are top-notch; some have spa baths and others have great walk-in showers. The beds are very comfy.
The motel is ideally placed to explore the CBD on foot and enjoy the area's numerous excellent shops, restaurants and pubs. Even the car park is well thought out and provides ample space to manoeuvre, making parking a breeze.
Travelling for long hours for work is not much fun, but staying at the Palazzo, looked after by its incredible hosts, makes up for it.

Best place in Nelson by far. Excellent location, close to some great restaurants and bars great rooms and extremely convivial hosts. Good choice of rooms that are good value for money. This place is our go to when heading for Nelson
