Great quiet and very clean location to base our 3 day stay in the Nelson area. Excellent hosts, restaurants and supermarkets over the road. Guest laundry and free Wi-Fi was appreciated. Would easily recommend.

Thank you Jacqui for your review. This is much appreciated. We are pleased you had a good time here in Nelson and that you enjoyed your stay.
We too would like to provide the full Sky package for our guests ( we do have Sky Sport 1 & 2 , Movies 1, History, CNN News, Trackside, Prime, TV 1, TV2, TV3, TV3+ & TV2+ ) but as the costs charged by Sky for their services are prohibitive we cannot justify doing this. As most other accommodation suppliers pass on these extra charges to their guests we choose not to do this so that we can keep our promise of providing sensible rates for excellent accommodation.
Please, on your next visit if you are staying a few nights mention to us which particular channel you would like and we can have one of our regular channels changed over for you. This is just one of the many services we offer.
We look forward to seeing you when you are next in Nelson.

We stayed in a small suite within the main building. This was a good size for a couple, no couches/ seating apart from barstools , but this didn't matter to us as we were out of the unit most of the day. There was a small fridge and microwave, so we were able to eat simple meals there. The bed was very comfortable and the unit was extremely clean, with daily servicing. The bedding and the heating facilities kept us cosy despite some very cold nights. The bathroom was small but adequate and again very clean. There were several cafes and takeaway food outlets nearby, as well as two supermarkets. The owners were away but their very able replacements were friendly and helpful. They went to the extent of putting towels on all the car windows on a very frosty night- we thought that was true customer care.We stayed here as we had a sports event to attend at Saxton Fields, about 5 mins drive away.It was an easy drive- around 15 mins- into Nelson, and within 10 mins we were on the highway out towards Motueka.Great spot, will visit again.

A very nice motel with all modern facitites. Helpful and informative.
The motel is outside of Nelson which is a downside especially when the site says Nelson area. Ideal if you have a car as $3.60 each way per person using local buses.
Lovely views, walking tracks and several decent shops, takeaways. East India a very nice takeaway curry!!

Room Tip: Ask for bath at point of sale

Very friendly owners, nothing was too much trouble for them. We even tried to extend our stay but they were booked out. The room was very comfortable, with eateries just across the road.

We were greeted warmly by Nicky, and shown to our room. She explained the keys, & advised that she had placed a jug of water in the fridge for us earlier. The room was smaller than we had experienced on our travels, but it was light & comfortable.
The room contained a queen size bed, which was comfortable, & the linens were nicely laundered & ironed.

The kitchen area was nicely stocked, but there was only room for 1 person to use the breakfast bar, so we ate our breakfast (cereal) on the bed. A high stool was placed at the breakfast bar, which we used for our notebook. There was also 1 dining chair in the room, which did get in our way as we negotiated space for our bags etc.

There was a combined TV/DVD player & DVDs were available from reception. There was free broadband, & we borrowed a cable to connect. There is also a laptop in reception available for use by guests during office hours.

Bathroom: various notes around to help us with use, such as using the fan when showering so steam doesn't set of the smoke detector. Lovely aromatherapy soaps, shampoo, body wash provides, along with big soft white towels. Lots of shelf space for our toiletries. Shower curtain was clean - seemed rather new.

Our room was upstairs (this info was provided when we made our booking). Car park has a few unallocated spaces. Although just off a main road, it was really quiet.

A really nice room & motel, but we struggled with the limited space - that was just us. 1 night was OK, but we would personally query any longer. For info, we're not large people, & we had 2 small suitcases, 2 rucksacks & a couple of carriers of cereals, sandwich making items & some wine.

We ate at The Stables at nearby Richmond. There is a supermarket across the road, & banks nearby

Stayed in the Boutique Motel in Stoke.

The hosts are very friendly, and the motel cat friendlier still. They easily accommodated my changes of travel plans and were able to extend my stay and keep me in the same room

Tastefully decorated rooms with all one expect. The motel is spotless and despite being close to the center of Stoke is very quiet.

I would/will definitely stay here again.

If you need to stay around Stoke this is is highly recomended
