“A cleverly designed museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

This museum has been carefully thought out to appeal to both men and women and avoid any of that "can we go now" that might otherwise be the case with a wearable art museum by itself or a car museum by itself. Accordingly, while my wife and daughters spent an unfeasibly long time looking at peculiar clothes and videos of peculiar clothes (which I'm sorry to say I just couldn't get into) my sons and I could drool at length over some beautiful classic cars. I'm not really a car guy but how can anyone resist a classic Jaguar, or a beautiful American car from the 50's (think big fins), or a Maybach etc etc. It was so nice to have an attraction where both sides of the family were satisfied and didn't feel they were in purgatory! This is definitely a good stop in Nelson and for men you can get some brownie points for taking the women in your life to something they like (maybe for a change?)

“Embrace the Odd--A Must See”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013

The oddity, the strangeness, the creativity of it all makes one believe that all is possible in art. This museum is beyond anything one can describe so I won't try.

Just hope the exhibit and the wearable art movement comes to D.C. We could use some playful and artistic fantasy. And some funky fashions.

“Wonderful old cars and astonishing wearable art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

We loved our visit to this museum. It's the best collection of old (presented as new) I've seen anywhere but what really blew us away was the 'World of Wearable Art." There's nothing like it anywhere else in the world; seeing is believing.

The wearable art is exquisitely displayed on mannequins. There's a remarkable fashion parade of 'mannequins in motion' worth your time to sit and enjoy and, in an adjacent theater, a movie that will keep you enthralled from beginning to end.

This is a premier attraction in Nelson and is not to be missed.

“Wonderful world of Wearable Art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

I loved the displays and that you could get right up close to the garments and examine them. You could also watch highlights of previous shows (probably the 2012 show)on screen in a cinema room for about 20-30 minutes. Not as many garments on display as I would have liked to see but the film showed loads. the car museum was great if you like looking at cars - which my husband enjoyed very much. A great place to visit

“Unbelievable creativity & fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

Even my husband was in awe with the creations we saw in the museum and the great film about the production and show! He also loved the car collections and we had great fun for a whole afternoon checking out the models of clothing and cars! We only wished we could be there when the show is live, fantasy galore!
