Graham and Jenny run a top rate operation. They are delightful people and made us feel at home.

We had the two room suite, which was a charming mix of Victorian funk and spectacular views. The bed was so comfortable and the room looked out over Tasman Bay. The fridge was stocked with fresh breakfast fixings and there was a huge bowl on fruit, much of it picked from the garden. The porch overlooked the Bay.

It is an easy walk to nearby waterfront restaurants and a bit tougher walk to the center of Nelson. We wish we had a week to enjoy this place, but only had two nights before we moved on. The view from our porch was so inviting that we ate our dinner there one night while we enjoyed the sunset.

We stayed in the loft for 2 nights and really impressed with it. The hosts have decorated the room to a really high standard with a fantastic use of colours. The view from the balcony is fabulous. We actually found that we enjoyed been there so much that we ended up cooking our own meal one night rather than going out. The hosts were very generous with the food they provided and it was all good quality. It doesn’t cost much to leave good quality food but it makes such a difference to how you feel about a place. I think the only downside is that you really do need a car as a the centre of Nelson is too far for an easy walk. Villa 10 is expensive but if you do want a self contained apartment I would certainly recommend it. If you prefer a hotel with al its facilities then I would recommend the Honest Lawyer, either make a great base for touring this beautiful area of NZ.

My Mum and I stayed here in the West Wing - unbelievable view, beautiful art in the home including hand painted doona covers and curtains, eggs and fresh bread and whipped butter and jam in the fridge, near to the waterfront cafes, very private, lovely owners, soft beds, just the perfect place to stay for WEEKS. We'll go back, it's superb.

We stayed in the Loft for a long weekend. It completely exceeded our expecations. Beautiful rooms, private, spacious and light with a truly great view and feel. Very well appointed with breakfast options on arrival. Hosts, Graham and Jenny were very friendly and helpful. Definitely be back
