We had a very brief stay at Te Puna Wai but every moment was delightful. We too stayed in the Fifeshire suite for one night after a long day hiking in Abel Tasman on Christmas. We found the room very well-maintained, the bathroom was luxurious and the house was very clean and comfortable. Everything was immaculate. We have traveled all over New Zealand and this was one of the best places we have stayed. The views of the bay are spectacular.

Perfectly situated with wonderful views overlooking the bay. We stayed in the Fifeshire suite which absolutely huge and has a wonderful bathroom.
Our hosts Richard and James are an invaluable source of information suggesting what to do each day.
Everything was superb, from the fridge stocked with champagne and beers to the home cooked breakfasts.
The house is a superbly renovated victorian building with beautiful furnishings.
We loved every minute of our stay here and will definately return.
A special mention to the house cat, who is so friendly and adorable.
Many thanks boys for a memorable stay.

We stayed at Te Puna Wai in the Fifeshire Suite for one night in November and wished we could have stayed longer.

We are not usually B&B goers - usually preferring more privacy and free run of a place, but taking a chance with Richard and James and their beautiful house couldn't have turned out better - by far the standout of our NZ holiday. The hosts are friendly, interesting and interested people who seem to know just what will make you feel most welcome and at home - it took me a while to notice that they were flying our country's flag as a welcome to their new guests.

The heritage house has been renovated just enough to preserve the original while adding the most luxurious bathroom - oh that tub!

After the great breakfast we stayed chatting long after we had planned to be on the road.

We couldn't recommend Te Puna Wai more highly. And we won't hold it against you if you get to enjoy it before we can make the long trip to NZ again.

this is a truly stunning house set on a hill overlooking the islands and sea. a five minute walk from some great restaurants and a five minute drive in the car to the town centre. this house oozes with character and charm. the hosts were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help make our stay a more pleasent one. Breakfast was wonderful and the view from the room was first class, will definetly be returning here on our next visit.

We stayed for 3 nights at Te Puna Wai and I must say the hospitality, room and attention to detail were first class. Richard & James couldn't do enough for you. We stayed in the top floor Fifeshire Suite and the views of the sea and Abel Tasman National Park were second to none. The complimentary beer and wine in the fridge together with the tea & coffeee in the room was most welcome. We went walking one day in the park and Richard kindly lent us a backpack and map for the trip. Our trip to Nelson and surrounds was greatly enhanced by our stay at Te Puna Wai (Freshwater Spring). Thanks Richard & James.

We loved this B&B. The place was gorgeous, the view spectacular and the hosts, James and Richard, most welcoming and helpful. We have raved about them to all our friends and would return in a heartbeat. Stan and Barbara
