I was able to call this wonderful place home for over two months... I only intended on staying there a week when I first arrived. The house is colonial, beautiful and very well furnished (good job Dave!), located in one of the sunniest places in New Zealand (the Palace is situated atop a hill, just the place to receive all that glorious sunshine). Complete with real beds, real coffee, free breakfast, hammocks, balconies, greenery, smoking hut, courtyard, large kitchen, guitars, piano, games, dining room, views of the town and ocean, tv room, and internet, you will never have to leave! I miss it dearly. It has atmosphere unlike any other hostel I've visited. And cats.
