“Poor menu”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

Not enough range to select from. Seating arrangement very cluttered. I decided to leave once I had a look at the menu as nothing appealed.

“mixed reviews for a fine-dining restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

I think it was a fine-dining restaurant with the prices and ambiance, but a few things needed to be improved. We ordered the lamb (and since it is NZ we assume the lamb would be awesome), but alas it was chewy and hard, not just mine but everybody on the table that ordered it (it was a party of 12). We mentioned to the staff and the chef said it was meant to be like that (I didn't think so). So after much complaining, was offered a remake of the dish, and guess what, he gave us beef (??) Since it was late we didn't complain because the beef was excellent!

Another note, lamb and beef orders were given the usual dinner knife that was no where able to cut the meat properly. Steak knife perhaps?

“First and last visit”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

We visited this restruant to celebrate ou first anniversary. I reserved a table in their bay window. The reception staff assured me that the window was free and that it was reserved for me. When we arrived it had been given to another couple, so our first dish for the evening was disappointment. The food was passe. It was hard to attract the waiter's attention.
Owners need to very careful that what they dream their restruant is like bears up to the reality.
Disappointing, boring and won't go there again.
