“Fantastic Morning of Fun”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

My friends and I spent a morning at Nelson's Saturday market. Not only did Nelson turn on the hot sunny weather for us, but we didn't need to go anywhere else for shoppping! We had a beautiful range of fresh produce to choose from for our BBQ dinner that evening, a delightful array of cheeses, jams and pickles for our pre-dinner nibbles, locally made beverages and even New Zealand's only locally distilled Whisky (Waitui honey infused whisky) which I totally recommend. We bought cute, unique clothes, Christmas presents for those at home and abroad and had a good laugh thanks to the buskers, as well.
Well worth a visit :)

“Up with the best”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

This has just about everything you would want from a local market. There are the farmers and growers with what has just been picked,...fruit, veggies, flowers, and those that take these ingredients to make cheese, jams, pickles etc. Then there are the artists working with paint, wood and precious metals. Add to that the hot food vans providing local tastes and morsels from as far away as Germany Portugal, Spain....and even NZ!! It all makes for a fun morning with something for everyone

“Seeing Nelsons Art and craft at its best”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

I love the Market and go every Saturday. I usually buy fruit and vegetables and if I need a special gift for someone I usually can find it there. Coming to the market gives visitors to the city a taste of all the region.Fruit ,Veg, cheeses, art craft, creations of all kinds
