Free transfer was a good inclusive, I waited about 10/15min. Driver was friendly. Got to the Hotel, the receptionist seemed busy, but did the job. There was no lift, but they helped bring my bag upstairs.
I requested to use the internet, the guy on reception said they had none. Then I found 3 computers around the corner and he changed his story, but, as they were not owned by the hotel and are out-sourced I needed a pin number on a voucher to use it - they had run out of vouchers that evening, so no internet... (there was wi-fi in the room, chargeable, and I found not worth it).

Room was good.

Bus stop 2min walk from hotel, going to Manukau city, and, on the opposite side of the road 5/10 min walk to bus stop going to Auckland city about $5.50 one way.

There's an airport village 10/15min walk just up the road which has cafe's, a chemist, and a Indian restaurant.

The lite buffet breakfast included in the price, had very little choices, two types of cereals and toast (one of the toasters kept jamming). Add $5 to include eggs.

If you need to stay overnight near the Auckland airport for an early morning departure this is the place.
Low cost, we paid NZD59 for a very nice double room
Car parking, you can leave your car at the hotel for up to 14 days , free
Free shuttle to the airport , just a short drive away.
Perfect for what we needed.

We stayed one night after a late night arrival around 1am at Auckland airport. The free shuttle arrived within 10 minutes and we were greeted by a man in reception who was efficient and quick. We had our two sons with us who were very tired and we were glad to get to bed around 2am. After reading some of the reviews about this hotel, we did wonder what we'd let ourselves in for but we were pleasantly surprised. For the price per night, it is a very good deal. We had a large room with a queen bed and two single beds. All were very firm (felt new) beds with clean, starched white sheets and pillowcases. The bathroom was clean with a new toilet and the shower worked really well. For the cost, you can't do better and it was totally convenient for us with the pre-arranged airport shuttle at an uncivilised hour. We also used the free shuttle again the next day to go back to the airport. As we woke up late, we missed the free breakfast but we would have eaten this had we been earlier and it was a nice surprise to see this included in the cost of the room. We would definitely use this hotel again if we arrive late and need one night to recover before moving on.

Cheap and relatively clean. The staff are all so helpful and cheerful but it's seriously outdated, needs an even more serious refurb or at least a good handy man for a few hours to make some improvements. But then we'd have to pay more... so maybe not.

We had no ventilation in the bathroom so the curtains got stuck to the window. The previous resident must have opened the window to counteract this steamy window effect and we killed 6 mosquito's within the first hour that were already inside. there were blood spots and dead mossies in the window nets from previous residents... The coat hangers fell off the screws they were attached to when we brushed past them. and the bathroom taps had a mind of their own.

But the bed linen and towels were clean, the carpark was well lit and it all felt secure. internet is available for your last minute online check in.

It's your typical budget airport hotel, and the free transfers and close location to the airport make the bad things not matter so much. As long as you're not fussy...

Room Tip: as far away from the stairwell as possible as there are no corridor doors anywhere to stop the noise travelling.

Pick up from the airport had to be organized upon arrival via a free phone located at hotel information in arrivals area (it would have saved us some time had this information been conveyed through booking site on the web). It took a while, but it worked out fine eventually.
Property and room layout is more like a motel rather than a hotel. Our room was fairly dated and screaming to be freshened up. If refurbishment is not planned any time soon a thorough cleaning would help it a lot! Other than that it served its purpose - we spent a night there between flights. Not much to do in the area, and probably the only attraction is the graveyard accross the street with colourful decorations and offerings on the graves Pacific Islander style.
