My 6-year old daughter and I flew in late to Copenhagen en route to board the Disney Magic Cruise the next day. It was our first time visiting Copenhagen so rather than spending time figuring out the details to travel into town, I decided to stay at the airport to rest up.
My daughter was very surprised to find that we could just walk straight to the Clarion hotel from the terminal. It was covered all the way and with the lifts at all the various spots when we have to get to other levels within the building to continue the walk, it was no trouble getting to the hotel at all even with more bags than I could manage on my own.
The check-in was efficient and while there was no bell service as we got there quite late, I could manage to get up to the room reasonably easily. The hotel’s floor plan is like a cross with the lifts located in the middle, the distance was pretty reasonable from the lift lobby to the rooms. We ordered room service that night, pasta and fruit platter I think. While it was not Michelin standard, the ordering process was efficient and the food delivered within half an hour, it suited me nicely when I had a hungry child at hand. The food was a bit salty for our liking though.
We were in a standard double room. The room was well appointed and a nice size, plenty of space to scatter our suitcases around as I repacked for our cruise. the bathroom was bigger than I expected, but there was no bath tub, which was fine for a 6-year old but probably a struggle for younger children.
We stayed for the breakfast buffet the next morning. The hotel must have been quite full as almost all tables were occupied. The food selection was a pleasant surprise - there were a great variety of wholesome cooked food, pastries and bread and cereals.
The checkout was a breeze. Having pre-booked the luggage transfer service Valizo to take our bags out to the cruise, we simply dropped our key cards at the reception and walked back over to the terminal building to catch the Metro to head to town.
