We bought a $40 banquet for 2 to take back to our cottage rental. The meals were ready on time and still nice and hot when we got home. We are lovers of Indian food and this was some of the best we have had anywhere. The sauces with the main dishes were sophisticated and beautifully balanced. One could tell that no easy shortcuts were used in the preparation of these meals. The serves were more than generous. We could have fed 5 or 6 people with what was meant for 2. In fact, we finished the meals off the next night and there was still a bit left. Our best Indian take away ever.

I've always relied on Tripadvisor for places to stay and eat and without fail, the recommendations have been faultless.

As a lover of good Indian food, the fact that the Seaview Indian was rated No 1 in Portland meant that a visit was a must.

What a disappointment. The service was good, the food was of a good quality and nicely cooked but where were the Indian flavours? We had Lamb Rogan Josh and Aloo Paneer, both ordered Medium spiced.

Basically, there was absolutely no spice at all. We had lamb cooked in gravy and spinach and cottage cheese with virtually no flavour at all.

Very disappointing.

Very nice casual restaurant serving pleasant food. Shared a veg platter for starters. This was served on sizzle plate - hint- serve straight away as plate continues to cook food and will burn if left too long. Menu gives choice of curry with range of meats or vegetables. Shared a chicken biryani with fish vindaloo with raita, naan and salad. All were enjoyable.

Didn't expect to find first class Indian in the middle of the Australian coast. As good as any "casual" Indian food I've had outside of India. Great service and reasonable prices too. We were there on a Sunday night, relatively late, and it was pretty quiet, but they seemed to be doing a decent take away business. It's worth the visit though, because the decor is beautiful.

had my birthday dinner here by request. lovely food, with the traditional indian fare that you see at most of the indian cuisine. mild enough dishes for those in my family unfamiliar with indian, and my daughter (7yo) devoured the butter chicken! there are however kids meals (i.e. nuggets & chips) if your kids aren't into indian food. The naan is great, too. have also had takeaway from here. have never been disappointed. service excellent and prices reasonable (comparable to most within this cuisine)
