I stayed here for one night in October en-route to a weekend in the desert. On arrival, you have to park on the street prior to checking in which I found different, however it's not far to walk over to the reception area to check in. Once checked in, a gate key is provided to access the area.
The apartment was very well appointed and probably would be convenient if staying for more than one night. I requested a "gulf view" room and being the lower level, wasn't much of a view. I felt the price asked ($191) was steep for one night. Bed was comfortable and a good sleep was had. The premises are very secure but from the outside you can feel like you are in a prison.
Ultimately I'd probably stay elsewhere in Port Augusta if only for a night.More
