This was a one night stay as part of a business trip to the region. The apartments are modern, clean and well equipped. The whole complex can be a little like a gated community - you need a key or a security pass to get anywhere (!) and can seem a little over the top - but it certainly alleviates any worries about security. The location is good - right near the waterfront - and very convenient to the adjacent shopping centre/supermarkets if you are staying longer.
It did appear to be very suited to, and populated by, government or business workers - most were gone before 9am and my room was ready at 12 noon so that was a bonus.
The staff are very friendly and happy to help. The bed is firm, pillows a bit thin and the shower is generous. I got my room through wotif and paid $150 which seemed reasonable for this part of the country.
No restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat nearby or if staying longer you could comfortably look after yourself in the apartments. Ian's Western Hotel across the bridge was a good option for dinner. The Office Cafe near the old courthouse was ok for a quick cooked breakfast before hitting the road.More
