A fantastic way for visitors to learn and understand the older more historic side of Hervey Bay. Nice to sit and have an icecream on.

Went on a short trip to Hervey Bay and this was listed as one of the things to do and we are super glad that we did. The pier looks extremely long from a distance and it took us over an hour to walk down to the end and back. We enjoyed the spectacular views and learning about its history. The pier was made in 1917 so it’s over 100 years old. Lots of spots to fish from on the pier, fish cleaning stations and also fishing rod pole holders. Free parking nearby.
Lots of wildlife to see. We saw a stingray, sea snake, fish, crabs and pelicans.
If your visiting Hervey Bay this is a must do! Great for people of all ages.

A must do when visiting Hervey Bay. Great views, good excercise and plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

Almost 1km in length, so a good 2km walk along to end and back again. Great spot for locals and tourists. Friendly people. Jetty reasonably maintained but you do need to watch your step in places and wooden planks can be ‘not quite flush’ in places. Lots of spots to sit down if needed and couple of fresh water fountain facilities of thirsty along the way. Jetty is just off lions park which has great bbq and family facilities.
