“Easter Fun at Fraser Lodge Holiday Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

We loved our Easter long weekend at this caravan park, Big4 parks usually have a great reputation and Fraser Lodge is no exception. The park has great facilities and beautiful grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Our ensuite site was huge and had plenty of room for the kids to play. It was expensive (compared to other places we have stayed) to have the ensuite site during the peak period, but I thought it was money well spent with the kids to have our own bathroom - a little luxury on a camping trip. There were plenty of activities to keep the kids busy over the long weekend and the esplanade is just a short walk away with shops, markets on the weekends, beautiful parks, the beach and a great long stretch to ride/walk. We will be staying again.

My wife, three year old son and I stayed with 3 other families over the Easter long weekend. I have stayed at a couple of Big 4 Parks and I have trouble finding fault with any of them and this could very well be the best. The staff are ALL fantastic right from check-in to the guest activities team and the groundspeople. All are extremely courteous, helpful and do their jobs extrememly well. The facilities are always clean, the bins are always emptied (and I am guessing cleaned too as they were all in great condition for bins) and the number of guest activities over our stay were unbelievable including a band, instructor lead Zumba, candle making (the list does go on!) and of course the Easter Bunny dropped by.

We stayed in the powered creek sites and were lucky to get four in a row at the time of booking (we needed to find a new place to stay after our previous booking was affected by the floods and made this one in February). We were extremely happy with these sites, they are slightly smaller than the others and technically meant for the Britz style camper vans but we were told this when we made the booking. Being smaller, when making the booking, the team were very careful to insure that with what we would be bringing with us would fit which was greatly appreciated. In the end, we all fitted very well, felt like we had lots of space and enjoyed our time completely.

I cannot speak highly enough of the park in general so if you are thinking of staying in Hervey Bay, I thoroughly recommend this park.

Room Tip: My only suggestion is that if you are a traveller that prefers not to have a lot of children around...

This park was excellent. After been to many caravan parks within Qld and NSW this would have to be one of the best. This park was clean and tidy(grounds and facilities), plenty of school holiday activities for the kids free or at low cost, Friendly staff, shops and bay walking distance. We look forward to our next trip that we have already booked.

Stayed here for two days on 5th/6th of Feb and after staying in some cracking parks was surprised to find an even better one. We had pre-booked and would not arrive until about 8pm that night. Key to cabin and a nice welcome letter was left in nightsafe for us. Got into the cabin and was delighted to be staying in bright , very modern accomodation which had a touch of luxury to it. The park has great facilities for all types of visitors. It's a short walk to the promenade with a reasonable range of shops , bars and restaraunts. Not the most lively of places but was told this was near the end of season and recent flooding of the surrounding areas had also affected trade. Stayed in Hervey bay so we could access a day trip to the wonderful Fraser island. We had problems with our vehicle that we were travelling down the coast in and a repair was required, the staff could'nt have helped us enough. The park alone is well worth a visit.

This is a great park to stay at as there is loads to keep the kids entertained, we have stayed there several times. It is quiet, friendly & very clean. In a great location to exploer Hervey Bay & only a short walk to the Esplanade - highly recommended.

Great location if you don't like camping directly on the beach and enjoy some grass between your toes. It is only a couple of minutes stroll or bicycle ride to plenty of shops, restaurants or beach activities. We always camp on an ensuite site which is great for the kids in the middle of the night. The whole of the park and all facilities are always clean and tidy and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. There is a great camp kitchen equipped with kettle and toaster if you don't like to bring the kitchen with you.

I would thoroughly recommend to anyone, especially with kids. Great roads in the park for riding your push bikes or scooters or you can even hire little pedal powered go karts. There are pools, tennis courts, a jumping cushion (recommended for adults too), games to hire and table tennis/games room. They have movies showing during the day for the kids too.

We were very impressed with the Park, our Cabin was simply impressive, modern and tidy. We loved all the appliances, really a home away from home with everything thought of - we actually brought too much stuff from home we didnt need. The pools were beautiful and we loved that we only had a block or so to walk to the beach! Would definitely go back.
