Reviewed November 22, 2012

This was the first stop on our holiday. We stayed overnight on our way to Katoomba. As I recall the tarriff was the lowest of anywhere where we stayed. The review is offered in terms of value for money.

We had a choice of sites and eventually found one the boss was happy with. It was some way from the amenities but away from everyone else. The mushrooms were old and run down but we had no problems with power so that is fine. Be aware we had a 10 meter lead and that wasn't long enough for every site. 3 sites 2 mushrooms, so the middle site required a long lead.

The amenities were very clean and adequate. The boss reports similar in the ladies and the laundry was clean and well priced.

Off the highway but a long walk or short drive to town. Some traffic in the day but as night fell it was very quiet. No problems sleeping. Park backs onto the creek but the boss didn't get bitten. She is a bug magnet so this was signifigant.

The gentleman at the office was very helpful.

Negatives: If you have children I didn't see much in the way of pools and playgrounds, but I wasn't looking so they may have been there. The camp kitchen was basic and when we tried to cook breakfast it was virtually impossible to get the scrambled eggs boiling. The BBQs were simply not very hot. Everything was clean though.
