Really relaxing since the llamas walk slower than us, you really get time to relax and enjoy the nature. The llamas are very nice and friendly and just amazing to be around. We got to hike down to the river and walked on the countryside of Kaikoura. Lovely!

“Totally unique”
Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

Enjoyed a relaxing, fantastic experience while llama trekking at kaikoura farm. Husbands sceptical but wives thoroughly enjoyed. Able to book thru info centre and had the tour one hour later. Host was friendly and informative.

“Calming and cool”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

The llamas were way cooler to trekk with than we expected, since they walked slower than us two-legged guys. The guide was knowledgable and friendly, and the dogs of the guide trekked along, which added to the experience. I do recommened this to families and couples!

Afterwards, we visited the farm park and petted other animals, such as alpackas, donkies, pigs and rabbits. Lots of birds to! Nice to hand feed the animals.

“A memorable experience!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

When my friends suggested we should try Llama trekking I have to admit I was a bit sceptical, as I never had done something like that before… but it was SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!

The llamas are such gentle, smart and fun animals and just great to be around, they really add something special to the beautiful hike along the beach! They behaved very well, carried our stuff and halfway through the hike our lovely guide Lynn set up a picnic and with cake and tea :)
I can really recommend everyone to try this a bit different sort of experience you will definitively never forget! It’s really a unique way to discover Kaikoura!
Thank you soooo much Silvester, Legend, Pegasus for this amazing afternoon!

“Relaxing llama trek”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Did a shorter trek with llamas, which was great. Walked with the llamas down to to the river (great views). The llamas were calm and friendly. The two dogs from the farm park came along for the walk. All in all it was a nice and relaxing trek. Afterwards we went to the farm park and met all the animals there. Especially liked the deer and the donkeys - the little donkey is really cute. Recommended.
