We did part of this walk from the South side - however a bit strapped for time so only did about a half of the walk. Estimate it would take about 3-4 hours for the total walk. Well marked and very popular.

We're walkers or hikers by nature. Very nice waterfront and cliff walk with terrific views of the ocean.

While the seals are somewhat sparse, they are there and pretty oblivious to people. In fact, one decided to sun itself behind a parked car...preventing the tourists from departing. Funny, it it's not you.

Went at 8am, driving to the seal colony and walking from there (and back). Hardly anybody around at that hour, so had the place to myself. Sky was still all red, so the actual walk took me forever, with all the photo breaks ! From the seal colony it goes a short while up the hill, but once you're up there, it's pretty flat with moderate ups and downs, all along the coast. The views are spectacular, so plan in enough time to just sit on one of the benches along the trail or take pics. At one point the cows pretty much blocked the fence crossing, but it was all calves, so they agreed to ignore me, move a few meters and let me through...:-) I went all the way down to South Wharf, then went all the way back - not hard to look at all that again !! Overall a great enjoyable walk, not hard, with only a couple of very short uphill bits.
