We were in Kaikoura for a long weekend and made a booking for a special dinner at Hislops. When we arrived, we had a wonderful table by the window and were quickly attended to. We ordered 500gm of mussels to share between us as an entree and after we had eaten them all, we wished we had ordered the 1kg, as they were so super delicious. As our main we both had venison, which was cooked to perfection and was delightfully tender. The delish parsip puree and accompanying plum sauce was a divine pairing with the venison. Next time we are in Kaikoura, we will definitely be back again and telling our friends about it.
