“quirky & tasty”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Cafe is small busy place, frequented by locals. Went for a brunch on a Friday & had very good coffee & meal. Didn't feel rushed either

“Great little hippy cafe”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

This is a great little cafe, not your usual cafe, the tables and chairs are all different, there are sofas and lots of local art. You can read books or just hang out, food is fresh and good. It is on the street facing the river on a corner but can be hard to see. Go and have a coffee or a bit of cake you can buy souvenirs as well.

“Quick lunch spot while doing the Tranzalpine day trip”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

We had the lunch stop in Greymouth while doing the Tranzalpine, found this spot nice and close,
and warm on a chilly winters day. We ordered the toasted sandwiches for the kids, and we had chips with the garlic aiole - homemade, very garlic-ly and totally delicious!!
The kids loved looking around the cafe with the toys and items on display.
Great stop, and very yum!

“Casual eating”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Had lunch here one day after shopping in Greymouth. Place reputed to have the best coffee around. While the décor is not for the upmarket crowd, the place is clean, colourful and comfortable with local art work on display. Was a very cold day but a seat close to the heater helped with that. The coffee was good and the food delicious. Staff are friendly and family oriented. Every time I have been in this café there has been a baby or small child present looking as if belonging to one of the staff. The children have never been a problem for this older couple wanting a quiet place for lunch. The coffee was good. Did take a wee bit of time to produce our food but as we were not in a hurry and we were warm this was not a real issue. Plan to go there again for lunch or morning coffee.

“Funky surroundings but food great.”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

As greymouth was closed on the sunday we visited! we stumbed upon this cool cafe just opposite the miners statue. I really loved the retro furnishings, which unlike many other places didnt make the palce feel like a dive. Wonderfully clean and the staff were very friendly. Best toasted sandwich I have had for ages.
Would totally recomend
