It was really fantastic! Learnt about the wild cats. Will definitely do the tour again and would like to do the feeding tour or the enrichment tour when the animals are active. Would love to see Craig in action with these wonderful cats. The guide was fantastic and knew her job. She kept the tour going and there were some times she was humorous which kept the tour going. Recommend going to this fantastic tour. Bravo to all at Kingdom of Zion!

I went there not expecting anything more than a quick trip but it was well guided by tourguide she was knowledgable. We enjoyed the whole guided tour and did not get bored once. The cats were beautiful and all the stories we hear about them were so interesting. It's a must see attraction in whangarei. First time there and I'll be back.

We had a great time at Kingdom of Zion. Our group was 2 adults and 4 teenagers.
Best part was when white tiger jumped on the fence and growled at us.

Our tour was the standard one but I would suggest either the feeding tour or the enrichment tour when we were told the animals are a bit more active.

Definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive up from Auckland.

On a strict budget while husband and I on holiday without the kids, so was able to Pre book tour on bookme, able to get two adults for the price of one, which ended up fitting into the budget. We would of happily paid full price as the tour was really worth it. Yes it is expensive, specially if you are paying for your whole family. But taking in consideration that what you pay helps to feed and keep the cats in a safe inviroment and remembering that the majority of the staff vouleenter their time to look after the cats so we are able to appreciate their beauty. Without Craig and his staff we wouldn't be able to see these unique creatures at their best. Concradulations to Craig and his team for doing such an awesome job. Loved the tour as our guide was amazing (can't remember her name), but I was very impressed. Walked away with a lot more knowledge and better understanding of their habitat. Better than going to the zoo. Recommend to all. And if it doesn't fit into the budget, then surf the net and find a bargin. More people have to support Craig and his team, cause if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be able to save a specieces that might become instinct!

Kingdom of Zion is reasonably well signposted, which is good as it is out of town. The one aspect which we had not picked up on was the need to book a tour. This was not clear to us before we went. We were able to join a tour part of the way through which was still fine.

The facilities there are generally OK and the animals are reasonably easy to see, despite the high fences etc.

We did not regret going, but after the tour, there was no particular reason to linger there.

Due to the nature of the park you cannot wander around unaccompanied, this is mainly due to the fact you can get a lot closer to the cats compared to most places.

People are welcome to stay longer, we have a lovely picnic area you can use at your leisure. People like to take their time in the gift shop as we also provide a chance for people to feel lion mane and lion/ tiger whiskers after the tour.
