Went here without booking and we were promptly seated and served. Good choices on the menu and food delicious. Good wines too. All served by a friendly waiter. Highly recommended in a town where there is limited choice for a nice dinning experience.

In need of sustenance around lunchtime on Sunday. We'd been in here before, some time ago, and that was a good experience too.
It's a popular place, easy to access, good parking nearby.
On this occasion its popularity reflected by being quite busy. But that didn't prevent the friendly waitron from attending to us promptly, getting us seated, equipped with menus, and coffee ordered.
In the middle space of the day there were both brunch/breakfast and lunch menus working. Lunch menu included lots of yummy sounding pizza combinations. One partner chose one. And it was all that it promised to be.
I chose a dish from the brunch/breakfast section - a potato kumara cake, with poached egg, bacon and hollandaise. It was very good.
Coffee was excellent.
The food did take a little loner to arrive than ideal. But they were busy.
I'd recommend you make a visit to Mint. You'll enjoy it, and both indoor and outdoor seating across interesting multi levels. Well situated in central Wanganui, near to museum, Sergeant Gallery etc.

Had lunch and a few beers here and really rate it highly. So much so that we returned for breakfast two days later. Superb coffee, excellent food, fantastic friendly service. Reasonably priced too. Ordered off the menu but the cabinet food looked awesome as well.

I have been to Mint on several occasions and I'm always impressed. There is a great selection of good from the menu if you want a sit down meal or from the cabinet if you just want a quick bite. It can get very busy and is a popular spot so u can sometimes wait a little while to be served but it's always pleasant service and the owner Lez is often on hand helping out and always has a smile. Well worth stopping in
