We ate early in the evening but still received two delicious meals - served by a lovely, bright and cheerful young lady who could not have been more pleasant.

We took the Chef's advice on which red to go with the Duck and Lamb dishes we had ordered, and the Merlot he selected was a perfect match.

Then to top it all off they served some of the best coffee we have had in a long while. Thanks guys, we will be back the next time we are in Thames.

Popped in entirely by chance whilst in Thames, what a great find.

A good choice of dishes, the fish of the day was superb and my wife enjoyed her lamb shank.

Service was good, the brother and sister team looked after us very well.

Try it when you're in Thames.

This restaurant really needs to update, the decor was strange and old fashioned, even a coat of paint would help. The two young waitresses just were not experienced enough when it comes to communicating with patrons, almost to the point of being non concerned if you were there or not.

It was a quiet night in Thames, so service was quick! We had the Venison meatballs - yummy! Then the steak, with vegetables. Its was filling, tasty and comfort food. Too full to try desserts. Not pricey either.

We had to stop at Gastronomic because everything else was closed. Wouldn't go there again, The food was overpriced and average. We were served fish and potatoes, which were oily and a bit bland, nothing that I couldn't cook myself at home. Going to a restaurant for me means having something special, new and exciting. Nothing was exciting about this one. We did not finish our meals even though we were starving after a long walk in the valley.
