“A MAGICAL PLACE”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

These gardens are a sanctuary of peace and beauty and are well worth the short diversion from the main Thames/Coromandel road. They combine a delightful mix of beautiful watergardens and a native bush walk with a waterfall at the end. There is a secluded picnic area (which we took advantage of) or you could avail of the cafe which had a fairly extensive menu to cater for most if not all tastes.

“A lovely Oasis”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

I have been here before, and never fails to delight. A very peaceful oasis where you can have a meander in the gardens, then walk to the waterfalls at the edge of the gardens. The Koru cafe on site, run by the owners, is exceptional and really would advise a stop for lunch here as it's a real treat, even winning many awards.
Take your time here and enjoy. It's about 7kms off the main highway, but worth the pretty little excursion, and don't be put off by a small stretch of dusty road.

“Interesting, peaceful and has a good cafe”
Reviewed January 14, 2013 via mobile

If you are coming from Coromandel town signage isn't that clear. Travel 34 km towards Thames. At Tapu turn left towards Coroglen. The road is has tarmac except for about 500 metres. The cafe has great food carefully prepared by the chef served by Sally who is an excellent as front of house.
The gardens are very well kept with two sections. The first is more formal following a windy path full of quirky features. The other half has large lily ponds and with a gentle uphill walk leads to the falls. Well worth a visit!
