This is a restaurant we have been slow to visit as it looks expensive and doesn't have a menu available outside to look at before making a booking. However the restaurant is part of the Entertainment Book now and offers a discount on the total bill for club members. The restaurant has also received awards for its beef and lamb dishes so we decided to try it out. The venue is lovely--olde world and intimate although the owner advised their lease has run out and they are looking for a new location. The bread and dips starter was great and well paced before our very tasty mains arrived. Like most fine dining restaurants the standard mains were on offer and angus steak was our choice-cooked to perfection. The restaurant is BYO but does have a reasonable wine list. We couldn't find room for dessert but there were some interesting options available. We will defintely return and perhaps consider this to be one of a few "very special occasion" resturants we would visit in Palmerston North
