We stayed in a two bed chalet for two nights in early April 2013. The owners, Joy and Simon, were very welcoming and helpful from the start. The chalet was well appointed and very clean, with really comfortable beds. Everything had been thought of, from child's toys, to washing powder, games, books and masses of local info. The outdoor spa is a must!
But it is the wildlife that steals the show. Woylies, possums, kangaroos, birds and bandicoots come up to the chalet in the early evening and are very calm and friendly if you are. The possums and kangaroos will eat fruits and the feed provided straight from your hand.
It is a fantastic place, in a lovey park. The chalets are very private too.

We had a lovely relaxing getaway. It was a privilege to get so close to wildlife. We had close encounters with kangaroos, woylies and possums. The accommodation was really nice, very clean and comfortable. It was in a good location as it allowed us to explore the area- it was not too far from Dunsborough or Margaret River (or the many wineries in the area!).

Stayed for 3 nights 30th Jan - 2nd Feb in Fern Chalet. Loved it. From the moment we arrived we relaxed and enjoyed every minute of the animals, the tranquility, the spacious chalet, the spa under the stars. We went for a walk around the property which was well signed and a nice way to see inside the bushland. Dont leave the animal food containers out!! We did and they were taken by the naugty kangeroos!! Will be suggesting this to all my friends and family.

We had a wonderful stay, what a perfect location. The wildlife was amazing, kangaroos and possums coming up to the chalet every night and so friendly. The hospitality was excellent, what more can yo say about the home made bread other than delicious. Planning a return visit in the in the winter for a chill out.

Had an enjoyable stay at Yelverton and had interactions with kangaroos, possums, woylies and bandicoots. Some of the Roos and possums are so used to humans they are happy to let you touch them and feed them by hand.

The owners are very friendly and helpful and have very clean chalets. They provide 3 different types of food for the wildlife and fresh bread and eggs for the guests to make their own breakfasts.

My only criticism would be the light streaming through the uncurtained windows in the morning. Given dawn is at 5, this leads to an early start! The price is also at the top end of where I feel it should be pitched given other local options.

If you're looking for rustic accommodation right in the middle of the bush with a chance to get close to some of Australia's wildlife then this will be a great spot for you.

We appreciate your honest review of Yelverton Brook, thanks for the info about the early morning light through the leadlight bedside windows. I had made curtains for them but decided not to put them up as they would have blocked the pretty leadlights maybe we should re-view that decision.
The other 1 bedroom spa chalet (Fern) has more shading from taller trees on the Eastern side for the early morning light, so not such a noticable issue.
The main bedroom french doors & windows have curtains with sunblockout backings. Plus vertical blinds on the other windows/doors.

Our chalet was extremely clean and entire stay was to a very high standard.
Animal visitors were enchanting and super friendly. Massage was one of the best I have ever had, so relaxing and in a beautiful environment. There is
nothing better than relaxing under the stars in the spa with a glass of wine in hand watching the antics of the wildlife after a busy day visiting local wineries and cheese factories. Great location, close to all the local attractions, make sure you check out the cows in Coweramup! The bread in the welcome package was the best I have ever eaten, thank you! We will be back again and again now we have found this oasis of calm and tranquillity. Big thank you to our hosts, a wonderful weekend. Eric, Heather & Linda :)
