This place has popped up since my other half and I were last in Margaret River and was directly across from our accommodation, so we decided to give it a try.
Wow - it was the best meal we have ever had in Margaret River!
Grattan, our host, was friendly, very knowledgable and immediately made us feel at home. We started with Santa Maria cocktails, made by the award-winning bartender Tom and then followed with 4 tapas dishes:
Twice cooked Japanese chicken with mayonnaise;
The special confit chicken, pea and truffle croquettes with garlic aioli;
Pork Belly with Thai caramel and micro coriander and lastly a Wagyu burger on the lightest brioche bun we had ever tasted.
Everything was spectacular - the flavours were in perfect balance, the portions were more than adequate for tapas and the service was super fast.
We couldn't resist sharing a dessert when we saw the sandwich made from a short-bread like gingerbread and caramel parfait with strawberries, thyme, salted peanuts, gooey caramel sauce and chocolate dust.
This was definitely worth every penny and we are actually planning on going back for breakfast tomorrow!
